| Considering buying an Airport... |
[11 Nov 2009|09:26am] |
I am currently using a WRT54GS wireless router from LinkSys; but I periodicaly have an issue where my cable modem service is still active; but I am unable to load websites / play games / etc for up to 25 seconds (sometimes longer). For online gaming this is unacceptable as it leads to either being disconnected from the server, or the game just looping the last sounds / actions it registered before the drop.
I believe the problem is my router. And what I am wondering is what any of you with an Airport would recommend. Is the Apple router really worth the cash, or is there a better alternative you might suggest? I have 1 Mac, 1 PC, and several wi-fi capable devices in our home, so I'd want to make sure that setup was pretty universal.

| Downloading from Stardock |
[10 Nov 2009|06:26pm] |
I haven't downloaded a game from Stardock in a long time. I was thinking of Downloading Dragon Age:Origins, buts its huge and so forth. They're customer service decent(does it even exist?)? How well do they deal with disconnections during downloads? How fast have you been able to download?(I use cable)
And any opinions on the game if you've played it?

| Scrantonicity… “Double Date” |
[10 Nov 2009|09:20am] |
|
http://www.lifeintheoffice.com/2009/11/10/scrantonicity-double-date/ “The Office” double date in “Double Date” takes place at the upscale Scranton restaurant “Paparazzo’s.” This fine dining establishment would be the source of many fond memories for me, growing up in Scranton. This is where I would have gone before my senior prom, and where our wedding rehearsal dinner party would have been held, if indeed such a wonderful restaurant existed. Unfortunately, it does not. The Scranton area does have many nice Italian restaurants, so I suppose “The Office” should be given points for at least coming up with the name “Paparazzo’s,” which sounds like it ought to exist. If I owned an Italian restaurant in Scranton, and business was slow, I would quickly change the name, and slap a “Paparazzo’s” sign above the door.

They will not force us, They will stop degrading us, They will not control us, We will be victorious!
I went to see Muse in Dublin on Friday night. They were awesome.
In other, relevant, news - the Giants still suck, and the more they continue to suck the smugger I get, as I told you they were rubbish 5 weeks ago. Also, this week Jairus Byrd will be intercepting Vince Young. At least twice.
After all that, it's time for this week's totally scientific power rankings, where we're expecting criticism for ranking the Vikings 5th, but fuck Farf.
1. New Orleans 2. Indianapolis 3. New England 4. Pittsburgh 5. Minnesota 6. Cincinnati 7. Dallas 8. Denver 9. Atlanta 10. Arizona 11. Baltimore 12. Philadelphia 13. San Diego 14. Chicago 15. Houston 16. Miami 17. New York G 18. New York J 19. Green Bay 20. San Francisco 21. Seattle 22. Carolina 23. Buffalo 24. Jacksonville 25. Tennessee 26. Oakland 27. Cleveland 28. Washington 29. Tampa Bay 30. Kansas City 31. Detroit 32. St Louis
Remember kids, these are totally scientific rankings and there are no reasons, just the facts.

| Address Book and Thunderbird |
[10 Nov 2009|10:48am] |
I have Googled my little heart out with no success, so I'm hoping someone can help me out here.
I have a lot (A LOT) of contacts in my Apple address book, and I want to add all these contacts to my Thunderbird account. However, I don't want to do each entry individually -- that would literally take forever. Exporting address book and importing it into Thunderbird won't work either, unless I want to spend a ton of time fixing the entries. Is there a simple way to import all my address book contacts into Thunderbird and have them all entered correctly?
Thanks! :)

| Yay for Dumb NOOB questions! |
[10 Nov 2009|03:46am] |
Hi guys! So, the iTunes store recently started putting up HD versions of the Pixar films. I've been wanting to get a digital copy of WALL-E, so I'm really excited about it. But I was wondering if there's anything specific you need to have for HD to work or anything like that?
Oh, also, does an iTunes HD movie play on an iTouch, or include an iTouch version, or something like that?
Thanks!
